Dr. med. Hong-Guang Dong

Dr. Dong graduated in medicine from the University of Chinese Medicine in Beijing in 1989 and obtained his PhD from the University of Geneva in 2004. In 1996, he co-founded Switzerland’s first integrative medicine centre in the Reproductive Medicine Clinic at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) Maternity, in collaboration with Prof. Bishop and Prof. Campana.
He is currently an Associate Doctor at the HUG Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Head Physician for acupuncture consultations at the Pain Clinic of Hôpital de la Tour, Vice-President of the Association Romande des Médecins Acupuncteurs, and Deputy Secretary General of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine.
Dr. Dong was appointed as an expert to the WHO Advisory Panel on Traditional and Complementary Medicine and founded the first Chinese–Swiss Integrative Medicine Centre, supported by the HUG, Hôpital de la Tour, and the Government of China.
His fields of expertise include integrative oncology, pain management, gynaecology and reproductive medicine, endocrinology and metabolic diseases, and aesthetic medicine.
