Dr. med. Hong Guang Dong
Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Dong graduated with a medical degree from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine in 1989 and a doctorate in medicine from the University of Geneva in 2004. In 1996, he co-founded Switzerland's first integrative medicine center at the Reproductive Medicine Clinic of the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG) Maternity Ward, in collaboration with Professors Bishop and Campana.
He is currently an associate physician in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), head physician for acupuncture consultations at the Pain Clinic at Hôpital de la Tour, vice president of the Association romande des médecins acupuncteurs (Romandy Association of Acupuncture Physicians), and deputy secretary general of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies.
Dr. Dong has been appointed as an expert advisor to the WHO Advisory Group on Traditional and Complementary Medicine and founded the first Chinese–Swiss Integrative Medicine CentreThe project is supported by the HUG, the Hôpital de la Tour, and the Chinese government.
His areas of expertise include integrative oncology, pain management, gynecology and reproductive medicine, endocrinology and metabolic diseases, as well as aesthetic medicine.

The clinic was honored to be designated as a Sino-Swiss Medical Center in Switzerland by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Republic of China in 2018, with which the clinic seeks to advance the promotion and education of traditional Chinese medicine in Switzerland.
